Kasol is a small village situated at the banks of Parvati River in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at a height of 1640 m and 42 km east of the famous hill station Kullu.It is also known as mini Israel as many Israelis come over every year to this place for vacations.Kasol is also the base for Himalayan trekking to Parbati Pass and Kheer Ganga. With the untouched hills and pleasant weather the place is a must stay one. Just 5 kms from this place is ManikaranSahib Gurudwara, the famous Sikh Gurudwara with hot spring inside it.It is said that this spring was blessed with the first sikh Guru, Nanak Dev ji, and is soo hot that rice can be cooked in it. The Gurudwara is considered to have its own curative powers.
How to Reach:
By Air – Bhuntar Kullu Airport and Kangra Airport the options available, but kullu airport is the closest one.Taxi services are available from the airport.
By Train – No direct train is available. Chandigarh and Pathankot are the railway stations from where taxi services are available.
By Road – Kasol and Manikaran are well connected with road services.Regular bus services are available from Kullu (Approx 41 km), manali (Approx 85 km) and Chandigarh (Approx 275 km). From delh bus services are available from kashmere Gate and its approx 380 kms.
