How to reach Khajuraho?

  • Via Air 

The airport of Khajuraho is just 5 Km from the city and it is well served with Air India which is offering flights from Varanasi, Agra and Mumbai. In case you are not ready for the bumpy ride of 5-6 hrs drive then surely plane is the suitable mode and road connectivity could also be preferred in case there is no time constraint.

  • Via Train

A station which was finally opened in 2008 at Khajuraho which is linking to Delhi/Chennai/ Trivandrum/Bangalore mainline. It is just 5 Kms from the main town and there is a single train which is direct from Delhi and it is mentioned as UP Sampark Kranti Express.

  • Via Road /Car

It is well connected with Orchha, Jhansi, Satna, Chattarpur etc. Generally the tourist plans to arrive at the Jhansi Railway station and could hire taxi from there for reaching via Khajuraho road. In the similar manner if you want to reach via Bandhavgarh, you can travel via road through Katni-Pawai-Amanganj-Panna which is just 240 Kms or takes 5hours duration to reach.
