- Via Train
Nearest railway station is Kodai road which is at the distance of 100Km. From Kodai road station, one will have to travel via road only. Taxis are also available for hiring up to Kodaikanal, but one drawback is that it is the only mode of transport so there are no chances for negotiating. Another station which is near to it is Dindigul railway station. From Dindigul railway station you could find different buses to Vathlagundu from where you could get numerous buses to Kodaikanal.
- Via Bus/Car
Kodaikanal is just 90 km from Dindigul city and there are numerous buses which are plying from various parts of the State. Buses are plying from Pondicherry, Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Palani, Coimbatore and Pondicherry. For local transport you could check out for taxis and buses. You would not be able to find any auto-rickshaws in the Kodaikanal.
If you are planning via car, then you should reach Kodiakanal from Kodai road (80Km) from around 1700 approx.
