Naukuchiatal – Lake of Nine Corners

Naukuchia tal is a small hill station in Nanital district of Uttarakhand. It is also called lake of nine corners. This lake is 175 feet deep, 983 mts long and its breadth is 693 mts. It is said that this lake was created after hard tap of Lord Brahma Ji. There is small temple of Brahma ji near KMVN guest house. It is believed that if anyone performs a “Parikrama” of the lake will be blessed by Brahmaji. Naukuchiatal is among the beautiful lakes in this area. Deep blue water surrounded by hills gives you a pleasure of being in different world. This place is blessed with Panoramic view of splendid surroundings and captivating lake which rejuvenate anybodies mind and soul. How to reach 

By Air: No direct flights to this place the only airport close to this area is at Pantnangar. You can hire a taxi from there.

By Train: Kathgodam is the closest station which is 26 km i.e.1 hr from there. Taxies are easily available from this station to Naukuchiatal.

By Road: By road this place is well connected with many cities like Delhi, UP etc. Take a route Moradabad to Rampur, Rudrapur and Kath Godam.

Things to do and see

The resorts here offers variety of activities like Kayaking, aqua ball, Paint ball, trekking, rappelling, rope climbing etc but most popular activity here is paragliding. Pandeygaon, a hilltop meadow is the launchpad. Be there as early as possible as the cater a first come first served basis. You can also walk by the lake which is 3 1/2 km of area. Walking in this cool, calm and quit trail has its own charm. Boating here is also a magical experience if you do it in early morning. Spending a day in Naukuchia tal is enough and then you can head towards Bhimtal or to Mukteshwer or to Sattal
